Tom Hashimoto, LL.M. specialises in post-socialist transition, and his recent research focuses on Warsaw as a vital international securities market centre in comparison to Prague, Budapest and Vienna. His approach is based on Financial Geography as well as Economic Analysis of Law, while he affiliates with the so-called ‘English School’ within the International Relations theories. He holds a BA in International Relations from Boston University, an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics, and an LL.M from the University of Hamburg (EMLE). He is currently a DPhil candidate in Financial Geography at the University of Oxford, an Associate Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. Prior to joining Vistula, he has taught at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, University of New York in Tirana, University of Tartu and the University of Oxford.
