  • DESCRIPTION OF THE STUDIES
    The Master’s programme in Economics will significantly expand your knowledge of economics. You will learn the principles of advanced analytical methods for examining economic phenomena. By continuing in your sub-major from the Bachelor’s level, you will become an expert in your chosen field, and gain the skills which will make you ‘stand out’ on the job market.

    The opportunity to delve deeper into the topics taught in the Bachelor’s programme, makes this programme perfect for those students who have graduated with a Bachelor’s in economics.

    Economics at Vistula University has been designed with our students’ futures in mind, so this is why the courses are taught by practising professionals, who not only share their up-to-date knowledge of the field, but their experiences as well.     INTERNSHIP

The programme is a perfect opportunity, not only to gain theoretical knowledge, but also to gain competency, and acquire valuable experience by doing additional, non-obligatory internships. Our Careers Office will help you arrange collaboration with the University’s business partners. You will be able to participate in the Erasmus Plus programme, and do an internship abroad.

  • The Economics programme (Master’s level) offers three sub-majors: international business II, corporate economics II, and international economics.

    SUB-MAJOR: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS II
    You dive deeper into: planning and supply, production, logistics, research and development, finances and controlling. You will learn to independently solve professional problems related to multicultural environments. The Master’s programme will enable you to easily navigate projects of an economic, legal, and political nature. This sub-major will prepare you to work in managerial positions in domestic and foreign companies, as well as in government bodies and local authorities.

    SUB-MAJOR: CORPORATE ECONOMICS II
    Studying in this sub-major, you will expand your knowledge of how companies operate on the market. You will learn the practical aspects of sector analyses, investment projects, and how companies function. You will be able to independently assess processes occurring within a company, and in its environment.

    SUB-MAJOR: INTERNATIONAL ECONOMY
    You will gain advanced knowledge of how an open economy functions, the theory of international goods exchange, capital flows and technology, as well as the spatial allocation of economic activity. This sub-major is ideal for everyone who would like to work in management, not only in Poland, but in international institutions as well.

  • Dr hab. Marta Gotz

    PhD. Associate Professor at Vistula University in Warsaw since February 2016. Previously she has been research fellow at the Institute for Western Affairs (Instytut Zachodni) in Poznań – research centre under auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education; teaching assistant in the Department of International Economics, at Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw; has received scholarship SPIRIT at Aalborg University (Denmark). She has conducted individual and team projects granted by the National Science Centre and the Visegrad Fund. She is a member of the Academy of International Business (AIB), European International Business Academy (EIBA) and Brussels-based association FinanceWatch.

    Professor Witold Orłowski

    A Professor of Economics, who since February, 2016, has been the Rector of Vistula University. He specialises in applied econometrics and macro-economics, economic transformation, and the European integration of CEE countries. He graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Łódź, and later studied at Harvard University. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Łódź, and obtained his habilitative post-doctoral degree from the University of Warsaw. In 2007, he was awarded the title of Professor of Economics. He was a Professor and Director of the School of Business of the Warsaw University of Technology.

    dr hab. Zbigniew Zimny

    Były szef jednostek analityczno-badawczych w Centrum ONZ ds. Korporacji Transnarodowych w Nowym Jorku i w organizacji ONZ ds. rozwoju gospodarczego, UNCTAD (Konferencji Narodów Zjednoczonych ds. Handlu i Rozwoju). W Genewie był szefem sekcji ds. międzynarodowej wymiany usług i dyrektorem departamentu odpowiedzialnego za przygotowanie dorocznego prestiżowego raportu ONZ – Światowego Raportu Inwestycyjnego (World Investment Report). Jest specjalista z zakresu m.in korporacji transnarodowych, bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych czy hanldu międzynarodowego.

    dr hab. Wojciech Hubner

    Doświadczenie zdobywał w USA i Niemczech. Profesor honorowy Uniwersytetu w Rizhau (Chiny). Kierował licznymi projektami ONZ w Azji Centralnej i Chinach, w tym: międzynarodowym programem The Silk Road Initiative w Pekinie. Był również regionalnym doradcą ONZ do spraw wdrażania reform gospodarczych w Azji Centralnej. Współzałożył The Silk Road Global Alliance (SRGA) – międzynarodową organizację pozarządową zajmującą się propagowaniem idei Szlaku Jedwabnego.

    dr Ewa Radomska

    Absolwentka Międzynarodowych Stosunków Gospodarczych i Politycznych na Uniwersytecie Ekonomicznym w Krakowie oraz Amerykanistyki i Europeistyki Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego w Krakowie. Była konsultantka ekonomiczna w amerykańskiej firmie Hospitality Marketing Concept. Dodatkowo prowadziła szkolenia m.in. dla menedżerów z Global Shared Service Center – Electrolux Poland. Była współorganizatorką trzech edycji Małopolskiego Turnieju Przedsiębiorczości w ramach Ogólnopolskiego Programu Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości. Dwukrotnie otrzymała wyróżnienie „Najlepszy wykładowca online session” w AFiB Vistula. Członek Polskiego Towarzystwa Ekonomicznego.

    prof. dr hab. Wojciech Charemza

    Pełnił funkcję doradcy prezesa w Narodowym Banku Polski. Specjalista z zakresu ekonometrii finansowej, symulacji ekonometrycznej, prognozowania, modelowana inflacji oraz modeli ekonomicznyych państw Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej. Wykłada również na brytyjskiej uczelni University of Leicester.

    dr hab. Sebastian Płóciennik

    Prawnik i ekonomista. Absolwent Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego. W latach 2003-2009 pracował w Centrum Studiów Niemieckich i Europejskich im. Willy Brandta we Wrocławiu, następnie w Instytutcie Studiów Międzynarodowych Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego. Współprzewodniczący zarządu Fundacji Współpracy Polsko-Niemieckiej i koordynator programu badawczego „Unia Europejska” w Polskim Instytucie Spraw Międzynarodowych. Wielokrotnie wykładał w charakterze gościa na wielu uczelniach w Niemczech, Kanadzie, RPA, Indiach i Austrii.

    prof. dr hab. Paweł Bożyk

    Polityk i profesor nauk ekonomicznych. Absolwent Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. Członek Komitetu Nauk Ekonomicznych Polskiej Akademii Nauk oraz członek Senatu Uniwersytetu Narodów Zjednoczonych w Tokio. Autor blisko 800 publikacji naukowych. Przewodniczący ROG oraz Kongresu Porozumienia Lewicy od 2007 r.

    Uczestnik programu badawczo-rozwojowego ODI. Ekonomista, specjalista w zakresie ekonometrii stosowanej i ekonomii pracy. Przeprowadził liczne badania naukowe dotyczące m.in środków utrzymania młodzieży w Ugandzie i Ghanie oraz badające wpływ pomocy zagranicznej na wydatki i dochody rządu. Autor wielu publikacji naukowych. Wykłada gościnnie na zagranicznych uniwersytetach.

Przez wiele lat pełnił funkcję Członka Zarządu Klubu Inteligencji Katolickiej im. prof. Czesława Strzeszewskiego w Lublinie. Był zastępcą redaktora naczelnego i szefem działu gospodarczego kwartalnika Myśl.pl, dyrektorem biura Związku Pracodawców Mediów Publicznych, starszym specjalistą w biurze Krajowej Rady Radiofonii i Telewizji, sekretarzem rady nadzorczej Radia Koszalin,rzecznikiem prasowym Ministerstwa Gospodarki Morskiej oraz doradcą w Parlamencie Europejskim.
