He is the author of Spectatorship and Film Theory: The Wayward Spectator; his research interests include the politics and aesthetics of spectatorship, critical theory and psychoanalysis; he is co-editor of the forthcoming volume Matters of Telling: The Impulse of the Story and he is currently preparing a book on Agamben’s theory of gesture and the cinema of Yorgos Lanthimos; he was research fellow of the Visegrad Fund at the Open Society Archives in Budapest in 2017.
