Head of the Chair of Social Insurance at Warsaw School of Economics, professor, PhD in economic sciences. His professional interests focus on the application of insurance in personal finance as well as institutionalisation of the insurance market. He headed research teams in projects concerning financial markets, including in particular the insurance and old-age pension market. Author of publications in the field of insurance, old-age pensions and personal finance systems. editor-in-chief of the scientific journal ‘Ubezpieczenia Społeczne. Teoria i Praktyka’. He has long taken part in the legislation process on behalf of Spokesman for the Insured, arbitrator in the Arbitration Court by the Commission for Financial Supervision. He worked in advisory institutions by the European Commission (FIN-NET, FIN-USE, FSUG) as well as European Financial Supervision Agencies (BSA, IRSG, OPSG). Creator and trainer of the programme for certified financial advisors in the field of life insurance and pension planning, carried out by the Warsaw Institute of Banking under the auspices of the European Financial Pl. Long-term lecturer in insurance-related subjects at the Academy of Finance and Business Vistula.
