A diplomat, an economist and a former Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs; in years 2002-2012 an ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the European Union and later a director for trans-Atlantic affairs in the Council of the European Union and a chief advisor in the European External Action Service (EEAS); at present, he cooperates with Polish and foreign institutions for international studies; a diplomatic advisor to the Polish Chamber of Commerce, member of the Council of the Amicus Europeae Foundation and a member of the Euro-Atlantic Association; ambassador ad personam.
