Vistula University invites to a set of lectures on the "Happiness" from 16th till 20th of April daily from 12:00-14:00 by Adam Okulicz-Kozaryn

Adam Okulicz-Kozaryn (Rutgers University, USA)
Born in unhappy Poland, Adam Okulicz-Kozaryn has always searched for the key to happiness. He emigrated to the US in 2003, obtained his PhD in Public Policy and Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2008, and has been studying happiness ever since. He is currently an assistant professor of Public Policy at Rutgers University, Camden.
He has spent his career investigating happiness: What makes people happy? Where do happy people live? Why are religious people happier in religious countries? Why does owning a luxury car not make one happy?
His pursuit of happiness has found that people living outside of cities tend to be happier than those residing in cities. Nature seems to increase happiness. He has also found that income and happiness do not always go hand in hand. Despite a moderate income level, Eastern Europe is one of the least happy places on earth. On the other hand, Adam's research suggests that Scandinavia is one of the happiest places on earth.
