74 years have passed, since the end of World War II. The world is developing peacefully, although there have already been several thousand local armed conflicts, and so-called ‘small wars’. Some are ongoing today, even close to us – we are witnesses.
The United Nations Organisation has an unquestionable contribution in preventing World Armageddon, and maintaining world peace. Meanwhile, we should ask: what about Poland? It is worth asking about our role and importance in building a peaceful future of the world.
Our peace initiatives at the UN, and in Europe, are very rarely mentioned. However, we should remember the Rapacki Plan, about an initiative to convene a European security conference, materialised as CSCE, or our general upbringing for peace. These projects will be discussed during the scientific seminar of the Institute of International Relations at Vistula University.
The introductory lecture and discussion will be led by Gabriel Zmarzliński – PhD, in Military Sciences, a long-time lecturer in tactics at the officer school, and operational art at the Academy of the General Staff of the Polish Army, later at the National Defence Academy.
We cordially invite you
On June the 18th, 2019, at 10:00 am, room 21.
