Understanding ISIS: history, religion, and international politics

Vistula International Club invites for an in-depth discussion on ISIS – regional and international  influences surrounding this terrorist group. The panel will take place on 4th November at Auditorium 7, at 6:00 PM.

The terrorist group known alternately as ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) and ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) continues making headlines with their attacks in Iraq and Syria, as well as their executions hostages.
 

On Tuesday, November 4, a panel of Vistula International Club students will examine the group, it’s motivations, and how it may affect the future of the region and the International relations. We will find a chance to understand ISIS/ISIL, it’s implications for the Middle East, the United States as well as international relations.

The session is sponsored by Vistula International Club. The event  will be held in English. Panel is  free and open to the public.
