DESCRIPTION OF THE STUDIES
In today’s rapidly changing world, the key role of financial policy is one of the few remaining constants. Knowledge of this subject is growing more and more important, certainly at various levels of finance management, and in other sectors as well. The Finances and Accounting programme is aimed, not only at company managers, financial officers and head accountants, but also at public and local administrative officials, financial and accounting department employees, as well as all those who want to expand their knowledge of the subject.
Over the course of two semesters, you will be trained to work in accounting and operate your own accounting firm, and all this thanks to mastering balancing, tax, social insurance, civil, and economic law, as well as Polish labour laws.
Finances and Accounting (post-graduate programme) is also the perfect opportunity for those wishing to obtain the ACCA diploma (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) – a prestigious professional certification in finances and accounting. The ACCA diploma will help you find employment, and not only in Poland; as well as increasing your chances of receiving a promotion to a managerial position, thanks to your certified knowledge and skills, tailored to the needs of employers. As a graduate of this programme at Vistula University, you will be exempt from four ACCA examinations.
ACCA is an organisation with more than one hundred years of history. ACCA is one of the most prestigious professional qualifications from the area of finance and accounting, recognised by employers worldwide. The ACCA programme enables its participants to obtain two diplomas. The Knowledge module (the first three exams, F1-F3) awards the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business, and passing the entire Fundamentals module (nine exams, F1-F9) will enable students to receive the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business (www.accapolska.pl).

Associate Professor Mirosław Bojańczyk
Mirosław is a long time lecturer at the Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw, as well as other universities. He is a veteran economics theorist and practitioner, with more than 20 years of experience. His research tackles the functioning of the capital markets, investment funds, business valuation, controlling, as well as corporate finances and accounting. Mirosław possesses a wealth of practical experience.

- Member of numerous supervisory boards, including the Polish Bank of Development and Isolation in Zduńska Wola.
Stanisława Sobolewska, PhD
Stanisława is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, a Doctor of Education, and the author of numerous publications on economics and accounting, including the following publications: ‘Managerial accounting and elements of cost accounting: selected aspects’ (Rachunkowość zarządcza i elementy rachunku kosztów, wybrane zagadnienia); ‘Selected issues in financial reporting, Tax accounting – selected aspects’ (Wybrane problemy sprawozdawczości finansowej, Rachunkowość podatkowa – wybrane zagadnienia); ‘Public finances sector accounting’ (Rachunkowość sektora finansów publicznych); and – (forthcoming), ‘Kompendium wiedzy o rachunkowości’.
Associate Professor Mirosław Bojańczyk
Mirosław is a long time lecturer at the Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw, as well as other universities. He is a veteran economics theorist and practitioner, with more than 20 years of experience. His research tackles the functioning of the capital markets, investment funds, business valuation, controlling, as well as corporate finances and accounting. Mirosław possesses a wealth of practical experience. He has worked, among others, as Head Accountant in a number of companies, the President of one of the National Investment Funds, Vice-Chair of the General Pension Society, and a Member of the Polish Securities Commission. He has been a member of numerous supervisory boards, including the Polish Bank of Development and Isolation in Zduńska Wola. He has also authored more than 70 publications in Polish and English.
Katarzyna Magdalena Orzechowska, PhD
Research interests: Company valuation, human capital valuation, Labour law, labour market, work organisation psychology, accounting and taxes in practice. She is the founder and supervisor of the Student Research Club of Young Accountants.
Monika Różycka, MA
A PhD student at Vistula University, she commenced her doctoral studies in 2013. She is a graduate of the post-graduate programme in Accounting at the Academy of Finance in Warsaw. She is also a holder of an accounting licence, granted by the Minister of Finance, entitling her to work as a professional bookkeeper. An accountant with 15 years of experience, she is currently Head Accountant in a number of companies. She has a keen interest in changes to VAT, and their applications in corporate activities. In addition, she is an experienced academic, teaching aspects of accounting and taxes.
Vistula University post-graduate admissions are conducted on a ‘first-come, first-served basis’. Candidates must submit the following documents:

- BA or MA programme diploma or copy,
- Identity card copy (the original for verification),
- 1 photograph (37×52 mm),
- Tuition confirmation of payment.

The entire cost of tuition is: PLN 4,400
The tuition can be paid in a single instalment, or two instalments, one for each semester:
- PLN 2200 – 1st instalment to be paid before the start of the academic year.
- PLN 2200 – 2nd instalment to be paid before the start of the 2nd semester.
An advance on the tuition fee of PLN 200 must be paid before the 30th of September, 2017.
