The MA in Energy Management is a two-year, full-time programme aimed at equipping students with knowledge, skills, and competences, to work in the spheres of energy business, both national and international.
The programme will familiarise you with the international standards of managing business organisations in the energy sector. The theoretical knowledge you will acquire in lectures, will find practical applications in workshops and seminars.
The programme is developed and taught in close co-operation with industry professionals, who introduce an international perspective through a diverse range of courses. This combination of competencies ensures that the knowledge you will gain is truly reliable and credible.
As Energy Management graduates, you will be ready to take a leading role in shaping the energy industry, for today and tomorrow. You will understand the undergoing energy transition, and have the key knowledge and skills required for a successful career in the energy industry.

Prof. Witold Orłowski, PhD
Full professor of economics, 2016-2019 the Rector of Vistula University. He specialises in applied econometrics and macro-economics, economic transformation, and the European integration of CEE countries. He graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Łódź and later studied at Harvard University. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Łódź and obtained his habilitative post-doctoral degree from the University of Warsaw. In 2007, he was awarded the title of Professor of Economics. He was a Professor and Director of the School of Business of the Warsaw University of Technology. In 2005, he was awarded the Officer Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. In the 90s, Professor Orłowski worked in the European Integration Office and the World Bank. He was a member of the Macro-economics Council, an economic advisor to Deputy Prime Minister, Leszek Balcerowicz, as well as an advisor to Jan Kułakowski, the main negotiator for Poland’s membership in the EU. From 2002 to 2005, he was head of a team of economic advisers to President Aleksander Kwaśniewski. From 2009 to 2010, he was a member of the National Development Council of President, Lech Kaczyński, and Prime Minister, Donald Tusk. In 2011, he was appointed Special Adviser on a budget of the European Commission. Since 2006, he has been Head Economic Adviser at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Stanisław Gasik, PhD
Stanisław is a holder of the Project Management Professional title, the highest project management title, issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI), a global project leader organisation, based in the United States. An active project leader, he has more than 20 years of experience in project management, counselling, project audits, and implementing relevant solutions. A Master of Mathematics and Doctor of Economics (specialisation – project management), not surprisingly, he teaches project management at Vistula University. Stanisław is a member of PMI teams, creating project management standards, e.g. A Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide, the most important international standard of project management, with 5 million copies sold worldwide, and translated into 10 languages) and the Standard for Programme Management. The PMI described Stanisław Gasik’s contribution to the development of these standards as ‘significant’. He is an assessor for the International Project Excellence Award of the International Project Management Association (IPMA). He has spoken at international congresses on project management, organised by both the PMI and IPMA.
