The Management (Bachelor’s level) programme has been designed for candidates who are enterprising and value constant personal development. If you would like to acquire management skills, be it projects, people, or organisations, and would also like to be able to decide when you want to study, then studying Management online will be ideal for you!
By choosing Management, you will learn how to define complex business problems. You will know how to creatively and ethically implement various solutions. In addition, you will learn how to design and implement sustainable strategies in an international environment. You will also find out how to utilise business analytics tools in organisation management.
Management (Bachelor’s programme) at Vistula University is a three-year programme, which will enable you to discover the complex world of business. Our faculty of experts and renowned lecturers will pass onto you their practical knowledge.
The distance learning programme will enable you to complete 60% of your cours online, which means that it is you who decides what and when to study.
The distance learning programme will be taught with the help of:
- Learning sessions using self-study materials, developed by our E-learning department based on the materials provided by the lecturer.
- Live sessions using webcams.
- In-class key course elements, taking place at the beginning and the end of each semester, during weekend sessions.
At Vistula University, we prize practical knowledge. This is why we offer non-obligatory internships to distance learning students, as well. These internships will help you to solidify your knowledge and gain more experience. You will be able to complete your internship in Poland, or abroad, with the help of the Erasmus Plus programme.

Management offers four sub-majors: marketing and sales, human resources management, corporate management, and project management.
Sub-majors are chosen in the fourth semester of studies.
SUB-MAJOR: MARKETING AND SALES
You will receive the information necessary to work in marketing and sales departments. You will learn to prepare and implement marketing programmes, create ongoing task reports, and collaborate with marketing service providers. You will master the most effective sales techniques, and find out how to build and manage sales teams.

SUB-MAJOR: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
You will learn how to build a team and effectively manage its activities. The knowledge of recruitment and selection, motivation, along with the assessment and complex development of employees, will help you achieve this. You will also find out what “hard HR” is about.

SUB-MAJOR: CORPORATE MANAGEMENT
This sub-major will prepare you to manage your own business, a department of an organisation, or an entire company. You will learn how to conduct strategic analyses and how to create and implement organisational strategies and policies in a dynamic, intercultural business environment. In addition, you will learn tried-and-tested methods of human resources and budget management, as well as communication with clients and partners.

SUB-MAJOR: PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN ORGANISATIONS
If you want to lead projects, this sub-major is the answer. You will learn how to support and manage projects: starting from preliminary analyses, to planning, completion, and further development.

Prof. Elżbieta Jędrych, PhD
A director of the Institute of Management at the Academy of Finance and Business Vistula; PhD. in economics, specializing in management sciences; a lecturer at the University of Economics in Prague, the Faculty of Business Administration, and at the Monash University, Prato Centre, Business and Economics, Milan; an author of more than 120 scientific works and expert opinions on industrial practices; she specializes in issues of human resources and social capital management, employee development management, motivation and rewarding, social responsibility in HR processes, social innovations in organisations and management of employee teams; she has been a supervisor for 5 doctoral students in economic sciences, specialising in management; she has received grants and carried out research programs in the field of strategies of investing in human and social capital, absorption of personal innovations by organisations, enhancing of competitiveness of the organisation through development of intellectual capital.
Stanisław Gasik, PhD
Stanisław is a holder of the Project Management Professional title, the highest project management title, issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI), a global project leader organisation, based in the United States. An active project leader, he has more than 20 years of experience in project management, counselling, project audits, and implementing relevant solutions. A Master of Mathematics and Doctor of Economics (specialisation – project management), not surprisingly, he teaches project management at Vistula University. Stanisław is a member of PMI teams, creating project management standards, e.g. A Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide, the most important international standard of project management, with 5 million copies sold worldwide, and translated into 10 languages) and the Standard for Programme Management. The PMI described Stanisław Gasik’s contribution to the development of these standards as ‘significant’. He is an assessor for the International Project Excellence Award of the International Project Management Association (IPMA). He has spoken at international congresses on project management, organised by both the PMI and IPMA.
Dr Agnieszka Knap-Stefaniuk
PH.D. [Warsaw School of Economisc; SGH] and MBA [Polish Open University/Thames Valley University]. She was a member of PKA [Polish Accreditation Commission]. She was a member of Executive Board, Teaching and Scientific Council [Polish Open University]. She received awards Rector – The Best Educational Employee of the Year 2006, 2007, and for her achievements in 2011. She conducted training and consulting projects [e.g. Lexmark, Galeco, Biprocemwap, Capgemini]. She had a lot of lectures and presentations [e.g. National Congress “Personnel and Administration,” National Congress “First Human Resources of the Republic” and HR Forum. She wrote many publications in the field of Human Resources Management.
Magdalena Kaczkowska-Serafińska, PhD
Magdalena is Vistula University Group’s HR Manager, a business trainer, HR consultant, academic and coach. She is on the list of the Ministry of Treasury as a recommended candidate for membership on Supervisory and Management Boards. A Doctor of Economics in Management ( Diploma with distinction from the Warsaw School of Economics), her dissertation focused on the factors which determine employee work satisfaction in various European countries (the only dissertation on work satisfaction at the Warsaw School of Economics).
Małgorzata Sidor-Rządkowska, PhD
Małgorzata is a holder of a PhD in humanities, and is a lecturer in the MBA programme. She has authored 11 books and more than 100 articles on shaping modern personal strategies and improving the managerial skills of managers. She collaborates with numerous training companies, and organises open and in-company training sessions on improving managerial skills. For more than ten years, she has worked as a trainer and HR consultant for companies from various industries and of different sizes. The areas she deals in, include: human capital measurement, employee recruitment and selection, training policy, implementing periodic assessment systems, forming career paths, preventing employee fluctuations, and increasing the interpersonal competencies of line managers. Małgorzata also specialises in value-based management.
Prof. Leszek Zaremba, PhD
Leszek Zaremba earned his post-doctoral degree in Control Theory in 1986. He is a mathematician and a graduate of Warsaw University (theoretical mathematics section). He has taught courses in mathematics and portfolio theory, at a number of American universities, and has authored more than 30 articles published in American, European, Polish, Japanese and Russian journals.
