    Globalization is the concept which becomes increasingly meaningful every year. We live in the times when the flow of finances, information and specialist migrations are on a daily basis. The exchange of experience and knowledge enriches us culturally and thanks to that we develop as inhabitants of the global village. The world was never as small as now but nevertheless we have to know how to move in it. You can learn that in the Academy of Finance and Business Vistula on International Relations.

    If you are interested in international policy, as well as in the way it is created in relations between countries or organizations, the International Relations bachelor’s program will help you to become an expert in this field.

    Studying International Relation in the Academy of Finance and Business Vistula, you will gain the knowledge of international politics, international economic relations, law, culture, philosophy and ethics. You will learn how to analyze in practice complex global and international problems. Subjects related to management, marketing and public relations will prepare you for work both in diplomacy and non-state sector.

  • The program of International Relations aims to prepare you best for the work in diplomacy, international organizations and private sector. It was created to decrease the number of lectures and increase the number of practical interactive classes. Carefully selected specialties and staff, which is composed of the former ministers, ambassadors and the workers of international “think-tanks,” make you choose reliability and practical knowledge while studying International Relations (bachelor’s program).


    In the Academy of Finance and Business Vistula, we focus on passing the knowledge practically, also in the case of International Relations. The studies are perfect occasion to gain not only theoretical knowledge, but also valuable experience. It is a chance to make first acquaintances, which are very important, among others, in the work of a diplomat. Therefore, during three years, each student will be able to undertake an internship in partner organizations of our Academy.

  • While studying International Relations (bachelor’s program), you can choose one of the three specialties: international business relations I, national and international security or global, regional and civilization studies.

    This specialty will prepare you for the work in international business environment or for conducting your own business activity – also abroad. You will gain practical skills related to foreign investments, international marketing as well as political risk in business relations. You will learn how to use modern technologies in politics and global economy.

  • Gotz

    Dr hab. Marta Gotz

    PhD. Associate Professor at Vistula University in Warsaw since February 2016. Previously she has been research fellow at the Institute for Western Affairs (Instytut Zachodni) in Poznań – research centre under auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education; teaching assistant in the Department of International Economics, at Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw; has received scholarship SPIRIT at Aalborg University (Denmark). She has conducted individual and team projects granted by the National Science Centre and the Visegrad Fund. She is a member of the Academy of International Business (AIB), European International Business Academy (EIBA) and Brussels-based association FinanceWatch.


    Mgr Tomoyuki Hashimoto

    Tom Hashimoto, LL.M. specialises in post-socialist transition, and his recent research focuses on Warsaw as a vital international securities market centre in comparison to Prague, Budapest and Vienna. His approach is based on Financial Geography as well as Economic Analysis of Law, while he affiliates with the so-called ‘English School’ within the International Relations theories. He holds a BA in International Relations from Boston University, an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics, and an LL.M from the University of Hamburg (EMLE).

    Dr Davide Marciano

    Davide Marcianò is assistant professor in international law at Vistula University (Poland) and at the Salento University (Italy) where he teaches international public law and international trade law. He graduated with honors in Law at the Salento University and was awarded a PhD in international trade law at the Advanced School ISUFI of Lecce (Italy). He was visiting scholar at Hebrew University (Israel) Center for International and Comparative Law. He has participated as a speaker at some international conferences and collaborates with European research centres. He is also a lawyer and counsel of several universities, public and private institutions and NGOs in EU projects (research and innovation projects) and international cooperation projects.


    Professor Longin Pastusiak

    A historian and political scientist, an expert on the United States, politician, member of the Polish United Workers’ Party, Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland, and the Democratic Left Alliance. From 1991 to 2001, he was a Member of Parliament, and, from 2001 to 2005, a Senator and Speaker of the Senate. He has authored more than 760 research publications, including 90 books.


    Andrzej Olechowski, PhD

    A politician and economist, who was Minister of Finance in 1992, and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1993 to 1995. He was a presidential candidate in 2000 and 2010, and was one of the co-founders of the political party, Civic Platform. Since the 23rd of July, 2012, he has been President of the Supervisory Board of Bank Handlowy (he was President of the Board in 1991–1996, and 1998–2000, as well). He has also been a member of numerous advisory committees in foreign companies.


    Małgorzata Maliszewska, PhD

    Małgorzata is an adjunct at Vistula University, and a Judge of the Court of Arbitration of the Insurance Ombudsman. She is a member of the Curriculum Council of Insurance Forum for World Leaders in Banking and Insurance. In addition, she is a member of the Awards Committee of the Polish Chamber of Insurance for the best journalistic article on insurance.
