DESCRIPTION OF THE STUDIES

Choice of not only the sub-major that you want to pursue, but also individual courses, and the sequence in which you learn. While studying at Vistula University, you will learn not only to define basic, operational problems, but how to avoid them as well. You will learn how to make business decisions based on effective business analyses, using advanced quantitative and qualitative methods. In addition to basic knowledge, you will gain practical skills, which will help you when working in diverse groups.
DOUBLE DEGREE PROGRAMME
Thanks to the double degree agreement, signed by Vistula University and the Centria University of Applied Sciences in Finland, first-degree students in Management, Enterprise Management Specialisation, can study for two semesters at a partner university, and as a result, receive a bachelor’s degree from both institutions.
It is possible to receive funding for one or two semesters at a partner university, as part of the Erasmus + programme, provided that the original University’s criteria are met, and the application is submitted by the set deadline.
Centria University of Applied Sciences is a dynamic, international university on the west coast of Finland. The training is conducted in English.

Management (Bachelor’s programme) at Vistula University is a three-year programme which can offer a sub-major for everybody. The programme has been designed to best meet the requirements and challenges of modern business. The Bachelor’s programme is focused on teaching solid and up-to-date knowledge of the three pillars of modern business: economics, finances, and management. Practitioners with long records of employment in teaching, will show you how to use your newly-acquired knowledge in your work. Vistula University offers a three-month, non-obligatory internship. Our Careers Office will help you choose from amongst domestic and foreign companies. The internship will help you gain solid experience, making you ready for your dream job. We want our students to develop their enterprise, within the structures of Vistula University as well, so this is why we give students the opportunity to start, develop, and implement initiatives. One such initiative is the “Brainstorm” student research club.

Management offers four specialisations: marketing and sales, human resources management, business management, project management.
Specialisations are chosen in the fourth semester of studies.
SPECIALISATION: MARKETING AND SALES
You will receive the information necessary to work in marketing and sales departments. You will learn to prepare and implement marketing programmes, create ongoing task reports, and collaborate with marketing service providers. You will learn the most effective sales techniques, and find out how to build and manage sales teams.

SPECIALISATION: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
You will learn how to effectively build and develop the human capital of a company, with the help of knowledge of recruitment and selection, motivation, periodical assessment, and the complex development of employees. You will learn what “hard HR” is about – the entirety of administrative and payroll-related activities related to human resources.

SPECIALISATION: BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
This specialisation will prepare you to manage your own business, or a department of any organisation. You will learn how to conduct strategic analyses, as well as creating and implementing organisational strategies and policies in a dynamic, intercultural, business environment. In addition to that, you will learn tried-and-tested methods of human resources and budget management, as well as communication with clients and partners.

- Semester V: Business assessment and valuation methods, Leadership in Organisation, Business Psychology
SPECIALISATION: PROJECT MANAGEMENT
If you want to independently lead projects, this specialisation will teach you how to do just that. In addition, you will learn how to support and manage projects: starting from preliminary analyses, through to planning, completion, and evaluation.

The Management programme does not require you to do an internship. However, the opportunity to do a three-month internship during your studies, will give you an edge over your competition. You will learn, not only to manage capital, time, and skills, but also projects. Furthermore, you will be able to carry out a project from start to finish, whilst learning how to effectively work within teams.
After graduating with a degree in Management, employment in various companies, corporations, NGOs, advertisement agencies and market research agencies, will be within your reach. Your sub-major will define what type of work you will be best suited to find.
With the marketing and sales sub-major, you will be able to find work as a:
